To address these concerns, we adopted a systematic approach, prioritizing optimal functionality throughout the space. An innovative ceiling design was introduced, featuring strategically placed lighting above the seating areas and an upgraded HVAC system to ensure consistent air circulation. The ceiling design incorporated acoustic panels that not only contributed to noise reduction but also enhanced the library’s visual appeal. Additionally, carpet flooring was installed to minimize noise levels further.
We introduced individual reading and meeting pods throughout the library, providing students with designated spaces for research, reading, and laptop use. These pods were designed with comfort in mind, equipped with ergonomic seating and integrated charging points. Moreover, redesigned book racks were installed, with the top shelf angled to allow standing individuals to easily view book titles.
A special section was dedicated to honoring India’s former Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri. This area showcases his life and significant contributions to the country.
The design scheme employed a consistent palette of three colors—maroon, royal blue, and beige. These colors were thoughtfully incorporated into various elements, including the furniture, reading pods, ceiling acoustic panels, book racks, and carpeting, creating a cohesive and visually appealing environment.
